Paphos Cyprus

Kato Pafos (Lower Pafos) is the home of the harbor and many archaeological sites in the area and provides a lively and friendly atmosphere around the renovated port area. The boulevards are lined with palm trees and there are ample restaurants and bars to spend the afternoon in if you are tired of the beach.
There are several beaches within the district including the municipal beach in Kato Paphos and a little further out is Faros beach, north of the archaeological site, this is best reached by car. About 8km from Kato Paphos is the undeveloped beach at Kissonerga Bay backed by banana plantations.
The World Heritage site of the Tomb of the Kings is 2km north of Kato Paphos and sits on a rocky ledge overlooking the sea. There are well preserved underground tombs and chambers used as a necropolis by the residents of Neo Pafos during the Hellenistic & Roman periods. Opening times are 8.30am to 7.30pm May to September and 8.30am to 5pm October to April.
Sports:
Diving - The waters around Pafos are ideal and there are over 30 sites to explore with names such as the “Wreck of the Achillieas” and “Valley of the Caves”, and in Larnaca ''The Zenobia car ferry''. There are numerous PADI diving centers to choose from.
Horse Riding – The area surrounding Paphos has some spectacular trails for horseback riding. Popular routes include trails in the beautiful Peyia forest, riding along the beaches and exploring the huge coastal sea caves.
Golf -The Aphrodite Hills Golf Club offers an 18 hole championship standard course.
The Tsada Golf Club offers 18 holes of superb golf set in the grounds of a 12th century monastery.
The Secret Valley Golf Club is set in a scenic valley with grand trees and sculpted rock formations with an 18 hole course.
Go-Karting - Paphos has a scaled down F1 track that is great fun for go-karting. There are fun races for all ages and abilities, and this is the closest most will ever get to knowing what F1 racing is all about.
Paphos Aphrodite Water Park - Great fun for the whole family and couples as well, with a large selection of rides, slides and pools catering for children, teenagers and adults.
Shopping - For some, nothing relaxes them like a spot of retail therapy, and Paphos’ stores are conveniently located in the same general district. Popular local items include Cypriot lace, handmade pottery, paintings, sculptures, jewellery and souvenirs. The workmanship, quality and prices of local handicrafts make them sought after buys.
